Gillis named ACAA keeper of the year
Five Mystics earned conference honours ahead of the 2025-26 Women's Soccer Championship.
Fifth-year goalkeeper Morgan Gillis has been a force between the posts, guiding her team to a dominant 9-1-2 record and helping secure one of the league’s lowest defensive records with just seven goals conceded, the second-lowest in the league. Having played all but 45 minutes of the season, the Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia native ranked second in the league with six shutouts to be named the goalkeeper of the year and a first team all-conference.
Joining Gillis on the first team is Ashley Neves who scored five goals this season, good for fifth in the league. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native registered 22 shots on net, good for second in the the league.
Fifth-year transfer Kenadie Wagg was also named to the first team for her play from the middle.
Both Emma Farrell and Mhyah Allen were named second team all-conference. A third-year forward, this is Allen's third time earning the honour. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native was named the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year in her first season with the Mystics.
