Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week

Morgan Gillis

Fourth-year keeper, Morgan Gillis, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for women's soccer.

Morgan had an excellent championship week allowing just one goal in three games, making a total of 17 saves on 18 shots.

Gillis had 6 saves in the Mystics' PK loss to Concordia Thunder on Wednesday. She also had 6 saves during their 1-0 loss to host Capilano Blues, where she was named Player of the Game.

Finally, Gillis had 5 saves during the Mystics 1-0 win vs the Brandon Bobcats on Friday, securing the Mystics 7th place at the CCAA Women's Soccer Championship.

A Sociology student, Morgan is from Hammonds Plains, NS.

Mason Maxwell

First-year runner, Mason Maxwell, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for cross country.

Mason ran a season-best time of 28:55.40 to place 66th at the 2024 CCAA Cross Country Championship hosted by St. Clair is Windsor, Ontario.

A Bachelor of Education student, Mason is from Sydney Mines, NS.
